Default Any good E/D builds for PvE Or PvP?

I'm thinking of making one and was wondering what ideas others have. Specifying if the build is PvP or PvE would help greatly too

I'll quote myself from your Ele thread:

Be sure to tell us which campaigns/expansions you have. Clearly you have Nightfall...anything else?

If Fire Magic is your bag, read this.
This thread should probably be closed, since you have a thread in the correct forum anyway.

" sorry I didn't specify. I meant is there a build or a selection that is good for a Dervish centered build but with Elementalist as primary? I made a Dervish recently and it seems to be better if I have more energy on it. I was thinking along the lines of lv12 scythe mastery, lv12 something else and the rest into energy storage along with a major energy storage rune and a eye that boosts energy storage. Is there any build good for a scythe centered Elementalist. I realize there is a slight armor decrease with Elementalist as a primary but my Dervish has 55 armor pieces and or less at lv20 ands its doing well with some enchants on. And I have Prophesies and Nightfall."

I made it here because I thought more people knowledgable on Scythe skills and Dervish skills were here.

Energy management is better than more energy. Pump your Mysticism and have others use enchantments on you, as well as reduce your overall energy consumption rate.

E/D doesn't have Mysticism... so that's not an option.

Really, the only thing you can rely on is Myst skills that work with a 0 attribute (probably will be one or two) or Earth/Wind prayers if you find something good.

When I see E/Ds in RA, though, I usually expect them to be running Mystic Regen tanking builds. Which is great, except they don't do much damage on the flipside, and you can therefore take out the rest of the team first.

E/D doesn't have to mean earth tank. Lots of fire and air eles run it as well as their heal considering it's fairly easy to put up 3 enchants (two being mystic regen and your attunement). In any case, this belongs in the ele section.

Why would you do something stupid like that when you can just use a zealous scythe? Only attack skills you need that are actually worth anything are 5 energy mainly.

Hmm, just a thought, but would this work?
Equipment would be armor increasing runes, a rune of major vitae, an all seeing eye (+1 energy storage) and a rune of superior energy storage, ebon scythe mod
Attributes would be energy storage 8 +4, scythe mastery 12, earth prayers 10
Mystic Sweep
Victorious Sweep
Chilling Victory
Conviction (for armor and hp regen)
Mirage Cloak (for blocking / dodging)
Ebon Dust Aura (for blinding so more survivability)
Mystic Regeneration
Vital Boon

this one focuses on hp increasing more than armor.

------
or the same build with the following variants. note this one uses earth magic 10 +1 (minor rune) instead of earth prayers
Mystic Sweep
Victorious Sweep
Chilling Victory
Stoneflesh Aura (for damage reducing)
Obsidian Flesh (for spell evasion and armor bonus)
Magnetic Aura (for blocking)
Kinetic Armor (for armor)
Armor of Earth (for armor)

this one focuses on more armor rather than hp increase. I don't like this one as much because it makes movement really slow, but perhaps crippling scythe skills or a ward would make the enemies stay just in case
-------
these are probably all crap but w/e

lol?

Well, if you're going to try to melee with an elementalist (wtf ...) you might as well take radiant scythe, since you're going to be getting the full bonus most of the time... i.e. hitting for about 70 damage.

Silly, can't agree more. Might be funny to try out if I actually had a post-searing ele, though.

Went well sadly actually got 4 wins in a row doing it, but it just an earth tank with dual attune and mystic regen and that skill and mystic sweep but it was doign pretty well. It was fun you wanna take a zelous scythe with you though...
